Key Responsibilities

  • Work across multiple production cells and workstations, carrying out assembly, fitting, and finishing of fire door components and completed doorsets to specification.
  • Follow production drawings, work instructions, and quality standards accurately at every stage of the manufacturing process.
  • Carry out quality checks on your own work, identifying and reporting defects or non-conformances immediately.
  • Support different areas of the factory as directed by your Cell Lead or Shift Manager, adapting quickly to changing priorities and workloads.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light production machinery safely and accurately in line with training and H&S requirements.
  • Maintain your workstation and the surrounding area in a clean, safe, and organised condition throughout your shift.
  • Work collaboratively with your cell team and the wider factory, contributing to a positive and productive environment.
  • Complete any required documentation, job cards, or quality records accurately and on time.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • An A-player mindset — high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly, the first time.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production operative role — comfortable working in a busy factory environment.
  • A flexible, multi-skilled approach — willing and able to move between different workstations and tasks as production demands.
  • Strong attention to detail — consistent, accurate, and quality-focused in everything you do.
  • A reliable, self-motivated team player who takes pride in their output and supports those around them.
  • Comfortable operating hand tools, power tools, and light production machinery safely.
  • Good understanding of H&S requirements in a factory environment.
  • Experience in joinery, timber, door manufacturing, or a related production discipline (preferable).
  • Relevant trade or manufacturing qualification (preferable).
