ABOUT HARMONY ENERGY
Founded in the UK in 2010, Harmony Energy is one of Europe’s leading developers, owners and operators of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), strengthening grid flexibility and resilience, enhancing energy security, and supporting homegrown energy systems across the continent.
Harmony Energy is headquartered in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, with a further UK office in central London. We also have offices in France, Poland and Germany. Employing around 90 people, the company has developed, built and managed 772 MW of operational capacity across Europe, including 18 sites in the UK and one in France, with a further European pipeline of over 12 GW.
In 2026, Swiss energy company Alpiq acquired a 90% stake, with founder Peter Kavanagh retaining 10% and continuing as CEO. Rapid growth across the business means we are expanding our team — and now is your chance to join a multi-award-winning company helping to power a sustainable future.
