To provide care and assistance to service users in their home in accordance with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council Standards of Conduct and Practice 2015. Applicants must having a caring attitude, good communication skills and access to a car for business purposes. A 35p per mile travel allowance is paid in addition to salary.
Responsibilities
- To provide personal care and assistance in accordance with the NISCC Standards of Conduct and Practice 2015
- Assisting with washing, showering, and personal hygiene
- Helping with dressing and grooming
- Preparing meals and snacks
- Providing companionship to reduce loneliness and isolation
- Performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry
- Supporting with mobility, such as getting in and out of bed or using mobility aids
- Assisting with toileting
- Shopping and managing household supplies
- Providing companionship to reduce loneliness and isolation
- Following a personalised care plan for each client
- Documenting care provided and reporting any concerns to a manager
Skills and Qualifications
- Applicants must have a caring nature, good communication skills and access to a car for business purposes.
- Experience in a caring environment or a health and social care qualification is desireable
