Overview
A lovely family in Wallington is seeking a warm, confident nanny for a temporary maternity cover role, caring for their energetic 2½-year-old son and, in time, their newborn baby. Mum is on maternity leave until August, so the focus of the role initially will be on caring for the toddler, with care for both children required from late summer onwards.
Responsibilities
- All standard nursery duties are required, including preparing meals, organising activities, keeping spaces tidy, and supporting development through engaging play.
- Care for the toddler and, when needed, support or care for the newborn later in the maternity period.
- Support the family routine, with Mum and Dad sometimes working from home; ensure space and privacy in a home with a separate front room downstairs and offices upstairs so the nanny can work comfortably without disruption.
- Promote outdoor time when weather allows and avoid screens during the day.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 2 years nanny experience
- First Aid trained
- Driving required: Yes, essential
- Location: Wallington, London
- Hours: 8am–6pm
- Days: Tuesday to Thursday
- Job start: 6 January 2026
- Job end: October (maternity cover)
- Pay: ÂŁ31,200 gpa pro rata
- Live-out role
