Live in Housekeeper for Stately Home near Worcester, Worcestershire

Housekeeper

A warm, proactive and friendly Housekeeper is sought for a beautiful stately home, currently occupied by a single principal. This is a lovely opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating a well‑maintained home and enjoys a varied role.

Responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day care of the main living areas including kitchen, living area, bedroom, bathrooms and principal staircase.
• Occasional deep cleaning of less frequently used formal rooms when required for hosting or special occasions.
• General tidying, dusting, hoovering, mopping, laundry and light wardrobe care.
• Weekly cleaning of the on‑site estate office.
• Support with organising and decluttering personal belongings in various rooms around the house as an ongoing team work project.
• Flexibility to take on additional work alongside this role, if desired.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar live‑in role.
• Understanding and appreciation of antiques and delicate items highly desirable.
• Basic DBS on the update service (or Enhanced DBS if children and vulnerable individuals are present).
• At least two professional referees, including current/last employer, immediately contactable.

Location & Hours

Location: Near Hallow, Worcestershire. Hours: 9am – 2pm Monday – Friday, with regular overtime available. Driving required: Yes, ad hoc driving of family members by prior arrangement.

Pay & Accommodation

Pay: £15 gross per hour. Accommodation: large and spacious flat with a large bedroom, living room, washroom, kitchen and corridor with private access. Can be furnished or unfurnished. This is a permanent job.
