Starting in ASAP, a fabulous three-day sole charge live-out nanny role has become available in Welwyn, Hertfordshire. You will care for three children — two boys aged ten and eight, and a sister aged six. The family is looking for a cheerful and friendly nanny who enjoys having fun, while providing plenty of love and support.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for three days per week (not a Friday), with mutually agreed days.
- Assist with breakfast and the morning school run (07:00–10:00) and return in the afternoon (16:00–19:00) for after-school routines, dinner, homework and bath time.
- Dedicate an additional two hours per day to family organisation tasks (e.g., family laundry, tidying children’s rooms, preparing nutritious meals, handling school communications).
- Support the maintenance of a tidy and smoothly running home (e.g., occasional dishwasher unloading, errands as needed).
- During school holidays, maintain 24 hours per week with flexible timing for day trips and outings; there is also the possibility of ad hoc babysitting paid as overtime.
- Encourage learning and development with a balance of stimulating indoor activities (board games, reading, crafts, baking) and outdoor play; supervise outings with other children to ensure safety and happiness.
- Drive the children as required with a clean licence and fully insured car; duty mileage will be paid.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum experience: Two years as a nanny or relevant childcare role.
- Enhanced DBS (update) with online update service, and a 12-hour paediatric first aid certificate.
- Childcare qualifications are preferred; experience is essential.
- Full driving licence with a car that is insured for work use; willingness to use the family car for duties.
