You are an experienced nanny looking for a part‑time role caring for school‑aged children. The position starts August 2026 and is located in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

You will work alongside Dad and provide care for two active children: a 14‑year‑old girl and a 10‑year‑old boy. The role is term‑time only (39 weeks) with possible additional ad‑hoc hours during school holidays.

Schedule is a rolling two‑week basis, totaling 34.5 hours each week.

Compensation

Salary: £33,637 gross per annum, paid evenly throughout the year. Overtime, if agreed, will be paid at £25 gross per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with morning routine and organisation before school pick‑up.
  • Oversee children’s homework and keep rooms tidy.
  • Prepare healthy, home‑cooked meals daily; occasionally help with general household duties such as laundry and errands.
  • Drive children to activities and be a confident, careful driver with a fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years experience with older children, preferably Level 3 childcare or equivalent.
  • 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid certificate and clear Enhanced DBS.
  • Two professional referees: one from current or last employer; both must be immediately contactable.
  • Own fully insured vehicle; duty mileage paid.
