This busy, working, creative family are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented and experienced housekeeper/house manager to help keep their home calm, clean, and organized. The family home is just outside Wells, Somerset, set on 3 acres of countryside. It has two school‑age children, aged 14 and 12. The ideal candidate will have experience in a large family home, be proactive, organized and have a "muck in" attitude. Experience caring for children and being ready to help during school holidays is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • All cleaning of the home, laundry, ironing, and changing bedding
  • Meal preparation and batch cooking
  • Tidying, organising and decluttering to support family life
  • Grocery shopping and managing online food shop deliveries
  • Occasional errands (Post Office, dry cleaning, charity shop drops, etc.)
  • Assistance with organising tradespeople (boiler servicing, window cleaning, gardening, etc.)

Ideal Candidate

The role is best suited to someone thoughtful, calm, and able to support a dynamic, creative neurodiverse family. The home is shared with a dog, a puppy, and a cat, so comfort around animals is essential.

Accommodations

A live‑in option is available: a fully self‑contained studio flat with kitchen, dining area, living space, bedroom, ensuite, and walk‑in wardrobe. The flat is furnished. The family is also open to considering a couple.
