An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a warm and welcoming family who are seeking an experienced, caring and reliable Nanny to support their two children, aged 4 and 7 years. The eldest child has Special Educational Needs (SEN), therefore previous experience supporting children with additional needs is essential.
The family are looking for a nanny who is patient, nurturing and able to build strong, trusting relationships with the children. Both children are full of energy and enjoy keeping active, so the ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, engaging and enjoy getting involved in a variety of fun, age-appropriate activities and adventures.
Duties will include:
- Taking the children to and from school
- Supporting with homework
- Planning fun and engaging activities during the school holidays
- Preparing a nutritious family meal
- Carrying out all usual nursery duties
- Changing bed linen
- Assisting with the family laundry
- General tidying
A careful and confident driver with a full, clean driving licence is essential. Mileage incurred whilst carrying out work-related duties will be reimbursed.

Location: Ardleigh, Essex
Minimum experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a nanny.
Training required: A valid 12-hour Paediatric First Aid certificate, an Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the DBS Update Service, and previous SEN experience are essential requirements for this role.
Qualifications needed: Level 3 Childcare qualification.
Hours of work: Term time Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 10:00am and 3:00pm – 7:30pm; School holidays Tuesday to Thursday, 8:00am – 7:30pm.
Days required: Monday – Thursday
Pets in the home: Yes – one friendly cat and, on occasion, one friendly dog.
Driving required: Yes
Job Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay: £20.00 Gross per hour. This is a permanent position.
For all roles with children and the vulnerable, you must have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the update service, a 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate and a minimum of 2 professional referees who are happy for you to share their contact details with our recruiters. One of your references must be your current or last employer and both references must be immediately contactable. We also recommend that you have appropriate professional insurance (nanny insurance).
