A lovely family of 4 based in Uppingham are seeking an experienced, caring and reliable nanny to join them from September to provide part-time after-school care for their two daughters, aged 5 and 7. The family would like a candidate looking to stay in at least the medium term.
The role will involve school collections on at least two days each week. All 3 days will require supporting the children with their evening routine, including homework, preparing dinner, and providing care until parents return. While the children are at school, the family would appreciate help with tasks related to the children. Light household tasks, where time permits, would be appreciated but the children’s needs will always remain the priority.
Location: Uppingham, Rutland (LE15)
Minimum experience level: Some experience with SEND preferred.
Details of any training needed: Childcare qualifications preferred.
Details of any qualifications needed: Enhanced DBS and Paediatric first aid essential.
Hours of work: Between 7 and 11 hours per week – core hours 3pm-6pm.
Days required: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – sometimes additionally Friday.
Driving required: Driver with own car needed.
Job Start Date: Late August/Early Sept 2026 but flexible for the right candidate.
Pay: £11,440 gross per annum – this is based on 11 hours per week (£20 ph) and will be pro rata to the hours worked.
This is a permanent job. For all roles with children and the vulnerable you must have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the update service, a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate and a minimum of 2 professional referees who are happy for you to share their contact details to our recruiters. One of your references must be your current or last employer and both references must be immediately contactable. We also recommend that you have appropriate professional insurance (nanny insurance).
