First-time parents are seeking night-time support for their new baby arriving in April 2026. They need an experienced maternity night nanny to guide them through the first weeks, help establish sleep and feeding routines, and support a baby-led approach. The ideal candidate is warm, communicative, and flexible, able to work a varying schedule across a 10-week period, with potential extension.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist parents with feeding (combination feeding, bottle overnight), sleep routines and baby care during assigned nights.
  • Provide reassurance and practical advice to new parents.
  • Support establishment of feeding and sleep schedules and maintain a professional, caring environment.

Schedule:

  • 4 nights a week for the first 2 weeks after birth
  • 3 nights a week for the next 6 weeks
  • 2 nights a week for the final 2 weeks

Job details:

  • Start date: Early April 2026
  • Contract length: 10 weeks (may extend)
  • Location: Stoke Gifford, Bristol
  • Hours: 9 pm–6 am or 10 pm–7 am, alternating nights, always a Sunday night to start
  • Hourly rate: £20 ph (gross)
  • Employment type: Self-employed (you will issue your own contract and UTR)

Qualifications required:

  • 12-hour paediatric first aid
  • DBS (enhanced)
  • A maternity practitioner Level 3 qualification or higher

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role

Other:

  • Pets (2 friendly cats) and overnight accommodation provided (bed in nursery, own bathroom, parking on site)

Recruitment requirements:

  • Up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
  • 12-hour paediatric first aid certificate
  • At least two professional referees (one current or last employer)
  • References must be immediately contactable by recruiters
  • Appropriate personal insurance is recommended
