A professional and friendly family is looking for an organised and proactive part-time, live-out housekeeper to help manage their home in Radlett, Hertfordshire. You will be working alongside Dad, who cares for his little girl, aged six.
This position is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of care within a friendly and relaxed household. The family requires support on a Wednesday and Friday, 09.00‑18.00 (18 hours/week). There could be the possibility of working a half day on the Wednesday, but the salary would be adjusted for this.
The family has a weekly cleaner and a nanny one day per week, so the main responsibilities are to include:
- Cooking a simple family friendly meal, with batch cooking
- All laundry, including organising towels and bedding laundry going to a laundrette
- Keeping the kitchen tidy and organised, emptying the dishwasher, bins, etc.
- Resetting the bathrooms
- Keeping cupboards organised
- Organising groceries and household supplies
- Receiving deliveries
- Performing other ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of the household
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a housekeeper
- Fluency in English and full rights to work in the UK
- A hardworking, proactive, and highly organised approach
- Strong communication skills
- Trustworthiness, reliability, and discretion
- Empathy and a caring nature
- Excellent, checkable references
- Minimum two professional referees, one current or last employer, both immediately contactable
- Their own fully insured car, with a clean driving licence (duty mileage to be paid)

- Required training: Enhanced DBS (update) and First Aid (including a 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate)

- Pay: £20,592 gross per annum / mutually agreed overtime to be paid at £22 gross per hour
