Super Opportunity for a Full Time Nanny in Gosforth, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. This family needs a kind, hands-on and well-organised nanny to assist mum with taking care of a 9-month-old baby, helping organise fun and educational activities, preparing healthy and nutritious meals, and assisting with nursery duties when required. The baby has two siblings – a 4-year-old sister and a 6-year-old brother – but the primary focus is on the baby. The role may also involve school pick-ups and drop-offs, and holiday activities. The family has a small dog in the home and may welcome additional animals such as cats, chickens and possibly a goat. The nanny may also be required to travel with the family. Discretion, professionalism and a security-conscious attitude are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Assist mum with daily care of a 9-month-old baby, including feeding, changing, soothing and developing healthy routines.
- Plan and execute fun and educational activities suitable for the baby.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the baby and, where required, for other family members.
- Support nursery duties when necessary.
- Provide light caretaking for the baby’s siblings (occasionally), including school pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Engage in family outings and holiday activities.
- Manage travel with the family when required.
- Maintain a safe, tidy and secure home environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ private family and baby experience.
- Enhanced DBS and 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Level 3 child development diploma, equivalent training or Norland training.
- Registered with the DBS update service.
- At least two professional referees (including a current or last employer), available for immediate contact.
- Confident driver with a clean licence and a vehicle available for use while on duty.
Working Conditions:
- Location: Gosforth, Newcastle-upon-Tyne (family moving to Throckley in May).
- Contract start: ASAP.
- Days of work: 4 days per week, including two weekend days per month.
- Hours: 8 hours per day – flexibility required.
- Pay: £29,952 per year (£18 per hour, negotiable for the right candidate).
