This professional family in Newbury Berkshire are looking for a sole charge Nanny to work 4 or 5 days a week Monday-Thursday or Monday to Friday. The role involves taking care of their twins aged 8 years who have ASD. They are verbal but have language delays of a few years. They have no cognitive or physical impairment and are currently in mainstream school with 1:1 support.

This lovely family are looking for an active, energetic Nanny who can either work 1pm-6pm in the term time. The right person would need to be happy to muck in and do some housekeeping duties related to the boys while they are at school, such as batch cooking, changing bedding, and laundry. Alternatively, this could be a split shift where the Nanny could work 7am-9am then 3pm-6pm in the term time. In school holidays, the hours are 8am-6pm, Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday.

Because of their Autism, the most important quality this family is looking for is someone who will be caring and responsive to the children’s needs, and champion their ability to thrive and be happy. Both children are active, enjoying being outside as well as dancing and music, so high energy is a must! They don’t need applicants to have worked with Autistic children before, but creativity in finding ways to engage and help them learn would be key.

The Nanny also needs to be a driver, and the salary for this great, long-term job is £20-£23 gross an hour (£37,375 gross per annum based on Monday to Friday 1pm-6pm in term time and 8am-6pm in school holidays, pro-rated over the year, so monthly pay is always the same) and ideally the right person can start ASAP.

Minimum Experience Level for this job: 2+ years working with children of the same age.

Days: Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday.

Hours: 1pm-6pm or 7am-9am then 3pm-6pm in the term time. In school holidays, it is 8am-6pm, Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday.
