A lovely family of five are seeking an experienced and hands-on Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their busy family home on a private estate in Berkshire. The property comprises a five-bedroom residence together with additional estate buildings and grounds. The family are looking for a proactive, reliable, and highly discreet individual who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards and enjoys creating a well-organised and welcoming home environment. This is a practical role with a strong focus on housekeeping and laundry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the family home, ensuring the property is always presented to a high standard, while providing flexible support wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily cleaning and upkeep of the family home
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation throughout the property
  • Family laundry, ironing and garment care
  • Bed changes and linen management
  • Household organisation and general tidiness
  • Assisting with the care of two family dogs
  • Running occasional household errands
  • Providing flexible support to the family as required
  • Occasional cooking or meal preparation would be advantageous but is not essential

Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have previous experience working within a private household, ideally within an HNW environment
  • Possess excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills
  • Have exceptional attention to detail and take genuine pride in their work
  • Be reliable, trustworthy and highly discreet
  • Be proactive, organised and capable of working independently
  • Enjoy being hands-on and taking ownership of their role
  • Be flexible and willing to assist wherever needed
  • Be child and dog friendly
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have their own transport due to the estate location
  • Be able to provide excellent checkable references

Schedule / Detail

  • Monday-Friday | 8:30am–6:30pm, with occasional weekend support.
  • Initial 3-Month Contract with Potential to Extend
  • Live-in option available if required
  • Salary: £45k – £50k DOE
  • Location: Near Newbury, Berkshire.
  • Minimum Experience Level for this job: 2+ years in a similar role.
