A welcoming blended family, based in Lincolnshire, are searching for their very own Mary Poppins – an exceptional Nanny/Housekeeper who can become a valued part of the household and provide practical support during a challenging period. The family already employs a cleaner four days per week, so this role is focused more on household support than deep cleaning. A driver is essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and confident using their initiative. They will naturally notice what needs doing and be happy to roll up their sleeves and help out. The family has six children aged 17, 16, 14-year-old twins, 12, and 3 years old. A Housekeeper who enjoys working with children will be needed as an important aspect of the role will involve support for all the children – particularly during the holidays. The older children are largely independent, but will need support including lifts to activities, help preparing packed lunches for clubs, or general day-to-day support.
The role will also involve managing the bedtime routine for the youngest child, aged 3, on evenings when his father is working evening/night shifts. Responsibilities include:
- Driving the children to and from activities
- Managing laundry for the family
- Keeping on top of organisation to ensure the house is well-stocked with groceries and other essentials
- Meal planning to ensure healthy eating and routines are maintained, and food is cooked or prepared
Some of the older children are keen cooks, so a willingness to support their engagement in the kitchen would be appreciated. It will be important to generally maintain a tidy, organised home and support the smooth running of the household. Flexibility, discretion, and a positive, can-do attitude are essential.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Nanny/Housekeeper seeking a permanent role within a kind and appreciative household. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and will need to be dedicated and able to adapt to the changing needs of the family.
