This friendly and professional family living in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced, organised, and caring Live-In Family Assistant to support a teenage boy, as his parents live abroad.
The hours of the role will be Monday-Friday, 08.00-18.00, with some flexibility due to the nature of the role.
This varied role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys working with older children while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a family home. The successful candidate will be warm, dependable, discreet, and able to confidently manage a combination of childcare, household organisation, meal preparation, driving, and family support.
The boy is in the UK as he is training to be a racing driver. His parents are located in America, but visit the UK often.
Responsibilities
- Providing guidance, supervision, and support for the boy.
- Overseeing and encouraging his online schooling.
- Safely transporting him to activities, appointments, and social engagements.
- Coordinating schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Preparing healthy family meals, taking into account any dietary requirements.
- Managing grocery shopping for the household.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming home, including laundry, bed changing, general housekeeping, and other household duties.
- Overseeing household maintenance, coordinating contractors, running errands, and managing the day-to-day operation of the household.
- Being available for occasional evenings, weekends, overnight care, and family travel, when mutually agreed.
Experience & Qualifications
- A full, clean driving licence.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.
- A professional, discreet, and trustworthy approach.
- The ability to work independently and use initiative.
- The ability to travel with the family.
- A valid First Aid certificate.
As this will be a live in position, the accommodation provided will be a private room and bathroom.
This is an excellent long-term opportunity for an experienced household professional who enjoys supporting a busy family and takes pride in creating a calm, organised, and well-run home.

We also recommend that you have appropriate professional insurance (nanny insurance).
Whilst we usually undertake all registration interviews and right to work checks in person face to face, we will in certain circumstances consider video call registrations and digital right to work checks via a certified digital identity service provider (IDSP).
