Starting in September 2026, a wonderful live‑out nanny position has become available with a professional and friendly family of four in Meppershall, Bedfordshire. You will be joined by a family looking for a kind, fun and reliable nanny to take sole charge of two happy and active children – a little girl aged six and her younger brother aged three.
Responsibilities
- Provide general childcare, including playtime, arts and crafts, and activity supervision.
- Collect and drop the children from school and clubs, and manage school and child‑care‑related administration.
- Support homework, especially for the eldest child preparing for entrance examinations.
- Prepare healthy, homemade meals and snacks for the children each day.
- Oversee bath time, tidy rooms and outdoor areas to keep the home tidy for the parents.
- Drive the children to appointments and school; hold a clean driving licence and be proficient in driving.
- Assist in organising the household – laundry, bedroom organisation and general tidiness in the kitchen and living areas.
- Plan day trips and educational activities during school holidays, and facilitate socialisation with peers.
- Accompany the children for any required overnight stays, if mutually agreed.
- Use the duty car, fully insured, for all drop‑off and pick‑up duties.
Working Hours
- Term time (35 weeks): Monday‑Friday 06:30‑09:00, plus two hours for nursery duties and meal prep, total 40 hours/week.
- School holidays (17 weeks): Monday‑Friday 06:30‑18:30, total 60 hours/week.
- Additional overtime and overnight hours may be agreed separately.
