A warm and welcoming family is seeking an experienced and professional Maternity Practitioner to support them with their second baby, due in mid-July 2026. The role will involve monitoring and recording the baby's progress, supporting breastfeeding mothers, and traveling with the family when required. The family will be staying approximately four weeks at their home in France.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record the baby's development and progress.
  • Support breastfeeding mothers and provide gentle assistance in establishing a baby‑led routine.
  • Provide expert guidance and reassurance throughout the newborn period while respecting parents’ preferences.
  • Travel with the family to their home in France as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years experience as a maternity practitioner or equivalent.
  • Qualified maternity practitioner (Level 3 minimum).
  • 12‑hour paediatric first aid certificate.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate, updated and registered on the service.
  • Safeguarding Level 2.
  • Professional references – two referees, one of whom is a current or former employer.
  • Professional insurance is recommended.

Contract Details

  • Start date: Mid‑July 2026.
  • Contract end date: 12 weeks after start.
  • Location: Mayfair (travel to France for ~4 weeks).
  • Hourly rate: £450 per day gross.
  • Hours: 20 hours per week plus a four‑hour break.
  • Days required: 5 or 6 days per week.
  • Employment type: Self‑employed.
