A warm and welcoming family in Oxfordshire is looking for an experienced Maternity Practitioner to support them through the newborn period from mid-July to end-September 2026. The role includes providing professional guidance, practical support and expert advice during the first weeks of the baby’s life.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional guidance and expert care for the newborn for a period of approximately 11 weeks.
- Support parents to establish healthy routines, including breastfeeding, bottle feeding and daily care.
- Reassure and educate parents regarding newborn health, feeding, sleep, safety and development.
- Encourage sibling involvement in appropriate activities such as bath time while safeguarding the baby’s primary needs.
- Accompany the family to/from home in Oxfordshire; use of provided car and travel expenses.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Maternity Practitioner (L3 minimum).
- 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (current).
- Safeguarding Level 2.
Experience & Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in maternity practice.
- Availability from 17 July 2026 to 27 September 2026, 20 hours per week + 4 hour break, Friday evening 18:00 to Sunday evening 17:00.
- Location: Notting Hill and Gt. Haseley (Oxfordshire).
- Hourly rate: £350 per day, gross per day; 20 hours per day.
