A wonderful family is seeking an experienced, warm, and professional Maternity Nanny to join them on a permanent basis. The family has been supported by a Maternity Nurse since the birth of their baby, who will be finishing at the end of September. The successful candidate will take over when the baby is approximately four months old, ensuring a smooth transition into the next stage of their development.

The ideal candidate will have excellent experience caring for babies of a similar age and be confident supporting developmental milestones, routines, and the changing needs of an infant. The baby is currently combination-fed, thriving, and has established a lovely routine, which the family would like to continue. The mother is enjoying every stage of her baby’s development and appreciates being kept informed of upcoming milestones and progress.

Candidates should have an up-to-date knowledge of current NHS guidance, including safer sleep recommendations, and be confident maintaining records of the baby’s routines, feeding, sleep, and developmental progress. A calm, nurturing, proactive, and collaborative approach is essential, with the ability to work closely alongside the parents while providing reassurance and expert support.

The role is based primarily in Devon, with occasional travel to London (approximately 70% Devon and 30% London), so flexibility to travel between both locations is essential. Live-in accommodation is provided while based in Devon. In London, accommodation is available for overnight stays only.

The family would also welcome occasional overnight support, particularly during periods of transition, to provide additional assistance to the mother when required. The family’s current Maternity Nurse will be away from 31st August to 6th September 2026, and they would ideally like the successful candidate to provide cover during this period. This would allow the family to meet their new nanny in advance and ensure a seamless handover before the permanent role begins.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Maternity Nanny seeking a long-term position with a warm, appreciative family who value professional support and continuity of care.
