First-time parents in the Cotswolds are seeking an experienced Maternity Practitioner to provide expert guidance and reassurance during the early months of parenthood. The role requires a confident communicator who respects the mother’s chosen feeding journey and offers gentle guidance to establish a settled sleep and feeding routine that complements the family’s lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Support first-time parents and help build confidence in newborn care.
- Maintain a detailed daily log of the baby’s routine and development.
- Follow NHS guidelines and safe sleep practices.
- Perform nursery duties to a high standard.
- Travel with the family to their home in the Cotswolds as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in maternity or newborn care.
- 12-hour First Aid certification.
- Enhanced DBS and Maternity Practitioner (L3 minimum).
- Expected to hold professional insurance such as maternity practitioner or consultant insurance.
- Strong communication skills and calm, supportive demeanour.
Terms and Conditions
- Contract: 10 weeks (possible extension).
- Start date: mid/late October 2026.
- Location: Holland Park (travel required to Cotswolds during weekends).
- Gross hourly rate: £400 per day (equivalent to a 40-hour week).
- Working hours: 20 hours per week plus a 4-hour break, 6 days a week with a mid-week day off.
- Accommodation: separate room for downtime.
- Pets are present in the home.
