Live in Domestic Couple (or individual) for Manor House Near Droitwich, Worcestershire

A wonderful opportunity for an experienced and passionate domestic couple (or individual) to join a lovely family at their beautiful 8-bedroom Queen Anne-style manor house. The property combines traditional charm with a stunning, state‑of‑the‑art modern interior and is set within 10 acres of mature grounds, with a further 30 acres of private fields and farmland. The family are very neat and take pride in their home, while still enjoying a relaxed and comfortable family environment. The household is home to a family of four, four much‑loved dogs and a small flock of chickens. The dogs’ wellbeing and daily care are a huge priority, and the couple will be responsible for their care, including overnight care by prior arrangement when the family are travelling. The role offers a varied combination of housekeeping, gardening, household management and general estate duties. Responsibilities will include daily, weekly and seasonal light to deep cleaning and organisation, family wardrobe management, laundry and ironing as well as maintaining the gardens and grounds through hedge trimming, lawn mowing and flower bed care. A gardener attends every other week, with the couple maintaining the grounds between visits. The couple will also oversee the cars, including MOTs, servicing, fuel and cleaning, together with the general upkeep of the swimming pool, tennis court and fruit trees. An interest in food and cooking would be welcomed, with occasional support for dinner parties, including food preparation and laying tables. Driving the parents to events and assisting with school runs when the children are flexi-boarding will also form part of the role. There are also a number of enjoyable seasonal projects throughout the year, including jet washing terraces, wood chopping and fruit harvesting. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable, hands‑on friendly couple who enjoy working together, take pride in their surroundings and are looking for a varied role within a beautiful private family home long term. This is a live in position.

Location of the job: Near Droitwich, Worcestershire

Live in accommodation: 1 bedroom annex flat with separate exclusive entrance, sitting room, kitchen, pantry and bathroom. The couple will also have access to a quiet area of the garden where they can sit outside and enjoy sunshine, exclusive use of raised beds are available to grow their own flowers, fruit and vegetables.

Minimum experience Level for this job: 2 years’ experience in private households required

Hours of work: 8am – 4pm

Days required: Monday – Friday (required hours outside of those contracted, shared with plenty of notice and time off in lieu given)

Driving required: Yes, essential for role. Car provided on duty.

Job Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £46,800 gross per annum

Benefits: Car available on duty. Continuous professional development available as and when required.
