A lovely opportunity to support a second-time family as they welcome their newborn in mid-December. The baby is likely to be born via C-section, and the family would like support from the moment Mum returns home.
They are specifically looking for night support, with the aim of ensuring that their older child’s established routine remains as undisturbed as possible while the family settles into life with their new baby.
The ideal candidate will be confident in supporting Mum with her chosen feeding approach, offering guidance, reassurance and practical support without taking over. As experienced second‑time parents, they have a good understanding of what worked well with their first child.
They are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, up to date with current NHS guidance and highly experienced in safer sleep practices. A calm, supportive and respectful approach is essential, with the ability to work collaboratively with the parents and adapt to their preferences.

Contract End: 4 weeks, could extend to 6 weeks
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Herts
Gross 24 hourly Rate: £23ph gross
Hours of work: 9pm -7am
Nights required: 3-4 nights per week
Specialist or expert required: Maternity Practitioner
Minimum experience Level for this job: 5yrs experience within the role
Details of any qualifications needed for this job: 12hr First Aid, Enhanced DBS, Maternity Practitioner Certificate (L3 minimum).
Driving required: Not within the role

Pets in the home: 1 x small friendly dog
Any other staff employed in household: yes day nanny
