The family requires support for their 12‑year‑old on a fixed term basis, starting ASAP. The boy has recently transitioned from mainstream school due to a sporting accident and is now also being homeschooled. The role will involve teaching and supporting the student’s Year 7 studies and integrating him back into school in September or sooner.
Responsibilities
- Teach Year 7 curriculum and supervise or design lesson plans for the student.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small online tutoring sessions.
- Support the boy’s emotional and social development, encouraging creativity, particularly in art.
- Assist with the transition back to mainstream schooling, planning for its potential earlier return.
- Collaborate with the parents to create a trusting relationship and organise suitable group or outdoor activities when appropriate.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Teaching experience or a teaching qualification.
- Minimum 5 years in childcare or a school setting.
- Paediatric first aid certificate (12 hrs).
- Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service.
- Ability to provide two professional referees, at least one from current or previous employer.
- Professional insurance (nanny insurance) is recommended.

- Days: Monday‑Friday (could be 4 days)
- Hours: 8:30 am‑3:30 pm
