The role will involve teaching and supporting the student’s Year 7 studies and integrating him back into school in September or sooner.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Year 7 curriculum and supervise or design lesson plans for the student.
  • Provide one‑to‑one or small online tutoring sessions.
  • Support the boy’s emotional and social development, encouraging creativity, particularly in art.
  • Assist with the transition back to mainstream schooling, planning for its potential earlier return.
  • Collaborate with the parents to create a trusting relationship and organise suitable group or outdoor activities when appropriate.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Teaching experience or a teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years in childcare or a school setting.
  • Paediatric first aid certificate (12 hrs).
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service.
  • Ability to provide two professional referees, at least one from current or previous employer.
  • Professional insurance (nanny insurance) is recommended.

Work Details

  • Location: St Catherine
  • Days: Monday‑Friday (could be 4 days)
  • Hours: 8:30 am‑3:30 pm

  • Pets: bearded dragon and a snake
  • Driving: essential, own car required
