This warm, busy family with four children aged 9, 7, 5 and 3 is relocating to a large country home in Dorset this summer. They are looking for a long-term nanny housekeeper who will become a trusted, valued part of the household – someone who genuinely enjoys being with children and takes pride in a well run home. The role is full time and can be offered as live-in or live-out for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide childcare for four children, 9, 7, 5, and 3 years old.
  • Manage household laundry and ironing.
  • Perform daily housekeeping and household organisation.
  • Prepare occasional meals.
  • Occasional proxy parenting and overnights may be requested.
  • Collaborate closely with the parents, sharing responsibility for the children and household.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a nanny or housekeeper.
  • Up-to-date 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • Up-to-date enhanced eDBS.
  • Professional references: 2 referees, one current or last employer, both contactable.
  • Clean driving licence – driving is required.
  • Pet‑friendly – one cat and a dog may join the household.
  • Willingness to work near Shaftesbury, Dorset.

  • Hours: 40+ per week, Monday to Friday.
