Responsibilities:

  • Full-time care for a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old sister.
  • Provide educational and stimulating indoor activities such as reading, sensory play, singing and age-appropriate games.
  • Organise and supervise outdoor play, walks, swimming and social play dates with other children.
  • Handle children’s laundry, keep their rooms, kitchen and playroom tidy, unload dishwasher and run occasional errands.
  • Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks each day, use fresh ingredients and batch-cook where possible.
  • Drive children to activities and play dates safely in a cleanly licensed car; a fully insured duty car will be provided.
  • Work Monday‑Friday, 10.00‑19.00 with some flexibility, sharing care with the mother and a weekend nanny.
  • Possibly live in or live out – if live in, a fully equipped annexe with a private entrance is available.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum five years of nanny experience caring for multiple children.
  • Preferred Norland training; Level 3 childcare training desirable but experience is mandatory.
  • Enhanced DBS (Update) and 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid certificates.
  • Professional references – at least two referees, one must be the current/last employer and both must be immediately contactable.
  • Clean driving licence and willingness to drive for duty purposes.
  • Good cooking skills and willingness to cook from fresh ingredients.
  • Experience with a cat – one pet in the home.

Working Conditions & Compensation:

  • Working hours: Monday‑Friday, 10.00‑19.00 (45 hours/week).
  • Live‑in salary: £44,460 gross per annum; Live‑out salary: £51,480 gross per annum.
  • Overtime is paid at £19 per hour for live‑in and £22 per hour for live‑out.
  • Salary is negotiable for a fully trained Norland nanny.
  • The position is permanent with a long‑term commitment.
