Full Time, Live Out, Housekeeper, Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire

This warm and welcoming family is looking for an experienced full time, live out daily housekeeper to help keep their home running smoothly. They live in a beautiful modern family home set across three floors in Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire.

The family consists of Mum, Dad, and their two children, a toddler and a baby. The family is seeking a housekeeper to manage the household duties, but also become part of the home and family, someone warm, proactive, and looking for a long‑term position.

The hours of work required are Monday to Friday, 09.00-17.00 (40 hours/week). Any additional hours will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out all daily housekeeping duties to a consistently high standard, including deep cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising bathrooms and kitchens.
• Polish and care for silverware and other household items as required.
• Keep cupboards, wardrobes, and other storage areas clean, tidy, and well organised.
• Manage all laundry and ironing, ensuring clothing and household linens are clean, pressed, and neatly organised. Have excellent knowledge of caring for delicate fabrics, including wool, cashmere, and baby clothing.
• Prepare light, healthy and nutritious meals for the family, including batch cooking and meal preparation as required. A valid Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
• Receive and organise household deliveries and liaise with contractors, tradespeople, and other service providers as required.
• Monitor household stocks and maintain an inventory of cleaning products and supplies, reporting shortages and replenishing items as necessary.
• Manage household grocery supplies, including placing orders, receiving deliveries, checking items, and putting groceries away.
• Undertake ad hoc household duties as required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the home.

The ideal candidate requirements include:

• Minimum of three years of experience working in a high‑end private household.
• Proven ability to manage multiple housekeeping tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
• Basic family cooking skills.
• Fluent English and full right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS (update) and Paediatric First Aid.
• Hardworking, proactive, and well‑organised with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Trustworthy, discreet, and reliable, with excellent references.
• Strong communication skills with household members.
• Driving preferred, but not essential.

For all Household Staff roles you must have an up‑to‑date Basic DBS on the update service, and where there are children and the vulnerable in the workplace you must have an up‑to‑date Enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the update service and a minimum of two professional referees who are happy for you to share their contact details to our recruiters.
