An experienced and trustworthy Housekeeper near Frome

Position Overview

An experienced and trustworthy Housekeeper is sought for a family’s second home in Cloford, Frome. The role is permanent, starting on 27th July, with full residency throughout August and part‑time travel to/from Somerset on weekends, half‑terms and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing, bed making and changing bedding.
• Batch cooking and meal preparation as required.
• Reception of deliveries and running errands.
• Occasional supervision of children, when requested, as the family also employs a nanny.
• General upkeep of a 7‑bed farmhouse with an annexe and studio.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience in childcare or related domestic work.
• Up‑to‑date Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• Enhanced DBS certificate, registered on the update service.
• Professional references: at least two, one current or former employer, both immediately contactable.
• Valid driving licence (required due to location).
• Comfortable caring for children and willingness to supervise occasionally.

Benefits and Compensation

• Hourly rate up to £20 gross.

Location & Schedule

The role begins 27th July, with full residency in the home through August. After September, the family will mostly reside in London, returning to Somerset on weekends, half‑terms and holidays. Workload may vary with these travel periods.
