Job Summary: The family are looking for a part-time Nanny carer to support their 11-year-old daughter who has mild cerebral palsy. There are other siblings at home; however, care is not required for them.
Working Hours and Schedule:
- Hours of work: Up to 30 hours per week.
- The role is for 30 hours per week, over 4 days – Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7am to 10am then 3pm to 7.30pm, and Saturday 10am to 5.30pm/9am to 4.30pm (term time).
- The nanny will have one Saturday off a month, agreed in advance on a rota.
- During the school holidays, the hours will be condensed to 10am to 5.30pm/9am to 4.30pm across the week.
- There is also overtime available on working days during the school holidays.
- This role is sole charge; someone else helps the little girl on the other days of the week.
- Some flexibility will be needed based on the little girl’s needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with dressing/washing if required.
- Providing healthy meals and snacks.
- Driving to school, hospital appointments, clubs etc.
- Ensuring the girls are happy and safe.
- All usual nursery duties such as children’s laundry, keeping children’s areas tidy, children’s admin etc.
- Some light housekeeping tasks, if time allows.
- During the school holidays, arranging some community outings and planning fun activities at home such as arts and crafts.
- They are looking for an active, engaging and trustworthy nanny to be an extra pair of hands and help support their family long term.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum experience Level for this job: Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience with cerebral palsy would be advantageous; however, not essential as training can be provided.

- Paediatric first aid.
- Lots of support and training provided in cerebral palsy.
- Mandatory support worker topics.
- Bespoke physiotherapy and OT support.
Legal and Eligibility:
- For all roles with children and the vulnerable, you must have an up-to-date enhanced eDBS certificate which is registered on the update service.
- A 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- A minimum of 2 professional referees who are happy for you to share their contact details with our recruiters.
- One of your references must be your current or last employer, and both references must be immediately contactable.
- We also recommend that you have appropriate personal insurance.
Contract and Compensation:
- Job Start Date: ASAP.
- Pay: £19 gross per hour. Approx. £27,930 gross per annum (if all hours/days are worked).
- Contract type: This is a permanent job.

Driving:
- Driver required, car provided for transporting the children.
