Starting in January 2026, a fantastic four day opportunity has become available for an experienced and caring nanny to join a professional and friendly family in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. You will be caring for one baby boy, aged nine months. He currently attends two nursery sessions each week. Mum will be returning to work after her maternity leave, and Dad works from home, so this will be a sole‑charge role. The family also has regular visits from two older children – a girl aged 16 and a boy aged 11. There will be minimal care required for them, perhaps the occasional school pick‑up or preparing a simple meal. The family is healthy and active, and they are looking for a nanny who will become a valued part of their happy home.

Working Hours

The working hours will be Tuesday to Friday, 08.00 – 18.00 (40 hours/week).

Responsibilities

  • Provide caring for the baby, including feeding, soothing, play/exploration, and bedtime routines.
  • Plan and deliver engaging indoor activities such as reading stories, singing, puzzles, and imaginative play.
  • Take the child on outdoor walks and trips to the park, organise playdates and gentle play with peers.
  • Prepare healthy home‑cooked meals for the baby and maintain the baby’s area organised and tidy.
  • Support household duties: empty dishwasher, tidy up at the end of the day, manage family laundry.
  • Assist with weaning and potty training, applying best‑practice techniques.
  • Drive the child to and from nursery, activities and drop‑offs. Must have a clean licence and fully insured car; duty mileage reimbursed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • At least two years of relevant childcare experience.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (valid and up to date).
  • 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • Evidence of child‑care qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Reliable driver with a clean licence and fully insured car.
  • Good knowledge of weaning and potty training.
  • Proactive, sociable, and able to plan stimulating activities for an infant.
