Key Responsibilities
- Care for two active boys (aged eight and six), becoming part of the family and supporting them through primary school.
- Organise and maintain the household; this includes weekly cleaning support, laundry (towels, changing beds), emptying the dishwasher, ensuring rooms are tidy, and keeping children’s areas organised.
- Prepare and cook healthy, nutritious family meals each day; batch cooking is advantageous and children will be involved when possible.
- Assist with running errands and supervising any homework.
- Walk the family’s two friendly dogs daily.
- Drive children to after‑school clubs, sports and other childcare activities; must have a clean licence and be a confident driver.
- Support parents by keeping the family organised during school hours and providing flexibility for overtime.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Enhanced DBS certificate (updated) and 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid certificate required.
- Minimum two professional referees, one of whom must be a current or former employer and must be immediately contactable.
- Prior childcare experience preferred; child‑care qualifications are desirable.
- Ability to work a regular 47‑hour week with a working pattern of Mon & Wed 07:30‑18:30 and Tue & Thu 07:30‑20:00.
- Availability to work the noted hours and willingness to take on additional hours as overtime.
- Pet‑loving with experience caring for dogs.
- Valid UK driving licence and confidence in driving.
Hours & Pay
- 47 hours per week – Monday and Wednesday 07:30‑18:30, Tuesday and Thursday 07:30‑20:00.
- Overtime is paid at £18 per hour.
- Annual gross salary: £43,992.
