A fabulous short-term nanny/housekeeper position has become available with a warm and welcoming family based in Turvey, Bedfordshire. The family is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic temporary nanny/housekeeper to care for their four children – a little boy aged three, boy and girl twins aged seven and their older brother aged nine. The children attend school and nursery locally each day. You will be needed from Monday 1 June 2026 – Friday 17 July 2026. The hours of the role will be 07:00‑19:00, Monday to Friday. The role could be live‑in if required; you will be provided with your own ensuite bedroom. For the live‑in position, you will be required to babysit twice per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Help the children get ready in the morning and manage the school and nursery run.
  • Provide healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day, home‑cooked as often as possible.
  • Oversee homework and spelling work and keep the children entertained and happy after school and nursery, including outdoor play and indoor activities such as cooking and arts & crafts.
  • Maintain the family’s organisation during school hours; perform laundry and keep areas used by the children tidy (kitchen, children’s bedrooms, playroom, etc.).
  • Drive the family’s fully insured car as necessary, following all safety and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a nanny, housekeeper or similar role.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (updated) and a 12‑hour paediatric first‑aid certificate.
  • Childcare qualification preferred; experience essential.
  • Excellent driving skills and confidence in handling a vehicle.
  • Ability to build rapport with children and support their emotional and social development.
  • References: at least two professional referees, one of whom must be a current or former employer.
  • Personal insurance (nanny insurance) is recommended.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay: £1,080 gross per week, with overtime paid at £18 gross per hour.
  • Live‑in accommodation with an ensuite bedroom (if applicable).
  • Fixed‑term contract for seven weeks, Monday to Friday, 07:00‑19:00.
  • Pets: one cat and a hamster.
