We are seeking a reliable, proactive and hands-on individual or a couple to support the smooth
running of a private rural property and land. This is a varied, long-term role that can be tailored
as a combined position for one person, or shared between a couple, depending on experience
or preference.
The Caretaking element of the role will oversee all aspects of property and grounds
maintenance, including general repairs, upkeep and seasonal tasks to ensure the estate is
maintained to a high standard. Responsibilities also include monitoring security, coordinating
contractors, driving family members when required, maintaining vehicles, running errands, and
providing day-to-day personal and administrative support. House sitting and caring for family
dogs will also form part of the role with plenty of notice and by prior arrangement.
The Housekeeping element of the role will be care for the interiors of the home, including
detailed cleaning, laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, preparing guest rooms and
ensuring the property is consistently presented to an excellent standard. Additional support
with the day-to-day organisation of the household will also be required.
There is also an interesting opportunity to take on additional roles within the principals
business, a great opportunity to add experience to their portfolio.
This position offers flexibility, allowing either a single candidate to undertake the full scope of
duties, or a couple to divide responsibilities. Long-term stability and a supportive private
household environment are offered.

Pay: Β£41,600 gross per annum (Β£20 gross per hour)

For all Household Staff roles you must have an up-to-date Basic DBS on the update service, and
where there are children and the vulnerable in the workplace you must have an up-to-date
Enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the update service and a minimum of 2
professional referees who are happy for you to share their contact details to our recruiters. One
of your references must be your current or last employer and both references must be
immediately contactable. We also recommend that you have appropriate professional
insurance (nanny insurance / household staff insurance). Whilst we usually undertake all
registration interviews and right to work checks in person face to face, we will in certain
circumstances consider video call registrations and digital right to work checks via a certified
