We are seeking a confident and respectful Nanny to support the smooth, everyday running of a busy family farmhouse in the beautiful Golden Valley. This is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone organised, proactive and genuinely fond of the countryside.
You will be responsible for school runs and managing the children’s daily routines, ensuring their days run calmly and smoothly. Duties include:
- Liaising with after-school clubs
- Planning ahead for activities and holidays
- Supporting homework
- Reading with them each day
- Preparing nutritious homemade meals for the children and batch cooking for the wider family
- Light, child-focused housekeeping and family administrative tasks
The nanny will be supportive in working collaboratively with weekly cleaners and tradespeople when required. The ideal candidate will be nature-loving, reliable and collaborative, working closely with parents and bringing a positive, self-starting, can-do attitude. You should be confident managing your time, anticipating needs and creating a warm, structured environment for the children.
Accommodation is provided in a beautiful detached studio cottage with bedroom, private kitchen and living area, bathroom and super-fast broadband. A pony paddock is also available if required. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys rural life and being part of a supportive family environment.
Location of the job: Near Craswall, West Herefordshire
Minimum experience Level for this job: Experience working with families rurally
Ages of children: Girl aged 8 years old and boy/girl twins aged 6 years old.
Hours of work: 7:15am – 8pm
Days required: Monday – Wednesday (possible half day on a Thursday)
Extra hours: Ad hoc babysitting, weekend hours and holiday travel or farm sitting by mutual agreement, but not obligatory.
Pets in the home: 2 dogs (walking and feeding required twice a day). Farm animals on site but not responsible for.
Driving required: Yes, car available on duty
Job Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £35,000 gross per annum
