Overview
A great opportunity for a "Two Day Week Nanny" starting in August in Cranbrook, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
The family has two young ladies aged 10 and 12 years, both requiring a patient, supportive nanny experienced with high‑functioning ADHD, ASD/Autism and dyslexia.
The older girl is home‑educated and needs assistance with learning activities and coordination of her tutoring.
The family also encourages a love for horses.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and support for both girls on Thursdays and Fridays, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.
- Assist the home‑educated older girl with learning activities and coordination of her tutoring.
- Manage household tasks such as refilling the dishwasher, cleaning the washing machine, light cleaning, and meal/snack preparation.
- Support the family’s animals (3 cats, 1 dog, and a horse) and participate in horse riding if required.
- Use initiative to maintain a clean and tidy home environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years professional experience working with children with ADHD and other learning needs.
- Enhanced DBS and a 12‑hour paediatric first aid certificate required.
- A SEND or childcare qualification strongly preferred.
- Professional references: at least two referees, one of whom must be a current or former employer.
- Additional Requirements
- Must be able to drive and possess a personal vehicle covered with business insurance.
- Comfortable working around cats, a dog, and at least one horse.
- Working Hours & Pay
8:00 am – 6:00 pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Permanent position. Pay starts at £18,720 per annum gross (£18 per hour, negotiable based on experience).
