A lovely family are seeking an experienced Nanny Housekeeper to care for their two children, aged 4 and 8 years, and assist with the smooth running of their home. The ideal candidate will have previous childcare experience and demonstrate a calm, nurturing, and confident demeanour. The family are looking for someone warm, engaging, who can build a strong bond with the children while providing the highest standard of care. They will support the children’s development and wellbeing, while helping to create a happy, organised, and thriving family environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care and support for two children aged 4 and 8, including daily routines, supervision and developmental activities.
- Plan and facilitate arts, crafts, sports and performing-arts activities to nurture the children’s interests.
- Assist with household tasks such as bed-making, wardrobe management, laundry, meal preparation and general organisation to maintain a well-run home.
- Support the family’s schedule by adapting to the required working days and providing flexible coverage.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a nanny.
- Valid 12-hour Paediatric First Aid certificate.
- Enhanced DBS check (with update service) required.
- Level 3 Childcare qualification.
- Full, clean driving licence and the ability to use the vehicle for work-related travel, mileage reimbursed.
Working Hours & Days:
- 20 hours per week, spread over three days.
- Monday and Tuesday, plus either Thursday or Friday as the third working day, depending on nanny’s preference.
- Flexible arrangement of hours within the week agreed with the family.
Location & Compensation:
- Location: Colchester, Essex.
- Pay: £18.00 Gross per hour (£18,720.00 Gross per annum).
- Permanent position.

- Pets in the home: one friendly cat and one friendly dog.
- Driving required: Yes.
