A fabulous part time live-out nanny position has become available, working with a professional and friendly family who live in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire. You will be looking after two happy children – a boy aged nine and his sister aged six. The children are active and enjoy football and dancing, as well as indoor fun such as arts and crafts and games. The family also has an old Cocker Spaniel dog, so a pet lover is required.
The hours of the role will be Monday – Thursday, 13.30-18.30 (20 hours/week). In the school holidays, there could be additional hours available, but these will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime. As there will be more time in the holidays, you will be able to enjoy fun activities and adventures with the children.
The family is looking for a reliable, happy and active nanny, who can join their family. They feel the most important thing is to find a nanny who will fit well into their lives. The nanny should be a team-player, a good communicator, creative and with a real interest in child development and childhood milestones.
Before you collect the children from school or their clubs each day, there will be time to help keep the family organised – with tasks such as the family laundry, keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas organised and tidy, and making sure the children have everything they need for school each day. You will also oversee any homework required. Although the family has a cleaner, any help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated (keeping the kitchen tidy, emptying the dishwasher, running the occasional errand, etc).
Responsibilities:- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day, preferably homemade whenever possible.
- Help oversee bathtime at the end of the day and leave all used rooms tidy, ready for the parents to take over.
- Drive the children to and from school, clubs, and other activities safely and on time; must have a clean driving licence and own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid.
