A lovely family are looking for an experienced Maternity Practitioner to provide night support for two weeks, following the arrival of their third baby.

The support will allow Mum time to recover from the birth while giving the whole family time to adjust to life with their new baby.

The baby is thriving, feeding well and frequently.

He is currently breastfeeding and settling into a positive routine with Mum.

During the placement, the family anticipate transitioning to bottle‑fed expressed breast milk and/or formula.

Both older siblings successfully tolerated both breast milk and formula without any digestive issues, and the family are hoping for a similarly smooth transition with their new baby.

The ideal candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of breastfeeding and feeding techniques and be confident in providing calm, knowledgeable support throughout Mum's feeding journey.

The family is seeking a warm, confident and reassuring practitioner who can offer practical support while respecting their routines and preferences.

They should offer thoughtful guidance while empowering the family to make their own choices.

The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of current NHS guidance and safe sleep practices.

This is a lovely opportunity for an experienced practitioner to provide valuable support during those important first weeks with a new baby.

Please note Maternity Nurse and Newborn Care titles are industry terms, not protected medical titles.

For all roles with children and the vulnerable you must have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the update service, a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate and a minimum of 2 professional referees who are happy for you to share their contact details to our recruiters.

One of your references must be your current or last employer and both references must be immediately contactable.

We also recommend that you have appropriate professional insurance (maternity practitioner insurance / consultant insurance).
