A fabulous full or part‑time position (can be 3, 4 or 5 days, Monday to Friday) to be part of a fun and informal family including 2 school‑aged children. Both parents work full‑time and are looking for a caring, motivated, experienced Nanny/Housekeeper willing to get stuck into running the house, mucking in with all that needs doing, caring for and walking the family’s dog, and looking after the children sole‑charge before and after school.
A confident driver is definitely needed, with their own car, for the school runs and the children’s after‑school activities.
Housekeeping Duties- Laundry, wardrobe management and ironing
- Cleaning
- Preparing an evening meal (vegetarian) for the family
- Shopping and running errands
- Walking the family’s small dog
- Managing tradesmen and related tasks
- After‑school care for the 2 teenage girls
- Driving them to horse riding and swimming pool sessions
- Supporting routines and encouraging independence
- Possible help with the youngest’s homework
- SEN experience desirable but not essential
Location of the job: Billingshurst, West Sussex – the family are moving into a 5‑bedroom house with gardens and a pool.
Job Details- Minimum experience level: Housekeeping experience and care of school‑aged children with some SEN experience desirable.
- Days and hours of work: Monday to Friday or 3‑4 days mid‑week; approx. 8:30 am (later start acceptable) to 6:30 pm.
- Job start date: ASAP (March 2026)
- Job end date: Permanent position
- Pay: £35,000 to £40,000 FTE (gross)
- This is a permanent, daily, sole‑charge position. It would be wonderful if you lived locally to Billingshurst.
- Up‑to‑date enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Minimum of 2 professional referees; one must be your current or most recent employer and both must be immediately contactable
