A fabulous three-day Family PA role has become available for an experienced person to look after a friendly family of five: two full-time working parents and three happy children, two children in secondary school and one in primary school. The children are looking for a proactive and friendly person, who will help keep them organised and entertained.
The three days are flexible and will be mutually agreed to suit the client and the candidate. The hours will be 07.15–19.00, with the main childcare requirement being before and after school, with household duties/management during the day. In the school holidays, the childcare element of the role will increase.
As well as engaging with the children in their hobbies and interests, working with the children to help with homework, encouraging good manners, behaviour and healthy eating will also be part of the childcare role. During term time, you will be responsible for the school runs and ensuring the children have everything they need for school each day (sports kit, school uniform, etc). In the school holidays, there will be time to have fun days out with the children. Mum likes to work with you and the children to organise various activities.
The family employ a cleaner twice a week, so the household duties, in addition to childcare duties, include:
- Family friendly cooking (homemade as often as possible)
- Family laundry
- Keeping the house running smoothly between cleans
- Keeping the children’s areas tidy and organised
- Overseeing grocery shopping (planning meals, placing orders, unloading food, buying extras)
- Running errands (dry cleaning, post office, present shopping, etc)
- Managing school admin, researching activities, etc
The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, and a competent cook, as well as a strong communicator so that everyone knows what’s going on. You should be a careful and confident driver with a clean licence. There is a duty car available for school runs, activities, and household errands. The family is looking for someone who is self-motivated, with lots of common sense and would like to muck in and become part of this friendly family. The candidate will be a warm, honest and fun person who is pleasant to have around.
