This wonderfully welcoming, friendly, hardworking and outdoorsy family are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, energetic, reliable and caring Nanny to start ideally in mid-May, Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5.15pm and on Fridays from 8am to 1.15pm. The family’s second baby is due this July (when a Maternity Nurse is supporting the family) so huge support is needed for the little boy’s adjustment to being a sibling and a family of four. From September, the role will naturally evolve to include caring for both children.

Support is wanted for both parents working with their own businesses, from home, so a Nanny who can be flexible at times with timings and the routine would be helpful – for example an odd later finish, any emergency or an occasional and planned ahead overnight stay (paid as overtime or time in lieu). The family usually travel 2-3 weeks a year and travel with the family would be welcomed.

This active family adore being outdoors, on the beach and spending time together. This role would suit an experienced Nanny who shines as a Nanny and is happy to be part of the family/team for a good long time. Someone with a positive presence and great role-model for the children as they grow and develop, and taking an active role in the children’s early development. The family create a positive and respectful working environment for their Nanny and value anyone who supports them.

You must be:

  • Conscientious with an interest in the knowledge of child development and encouraging the children’s milestones
  • Good previous experience of working with infants and as a Nanny
  • Organized and reliable
  • Confident with caring for babies
  • Create age appropriate activities
  • A confident driver – a car is available for use on duty.

Duties:

  • Maintain a safe, organized and tidy child friendly environment
  • Planning ahead and supporting the children’s routines
  • Attendance of pre-booked classes such as Music and Gymnastics
  • Outdoors exploring in the garden and on the beach!
  • Keeping children’s areas organized
  • Preparing nutritious meals for the children and supporting weaning the baby (when ready/appropriate to do so)
  • Children’s laundry
  • Planning ahead for holidays, family days out and appointments.

Location of the job: On the beach in Bracklesham Bay, nr Chichester, West Sussex.

Minimum qualifications and experience level for this job: Qualified Nanny with Level 3 or above; 2 years minimum Nanny experience with babies and young children.

Details of any training needed for this job: Enhanced DBS and Paediatric first aid training. A Qualified Nanny is preferred.

Days and hours of work: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5.15pm; Friday 8am – 1.15pm.

Driving required: A confident driver – a car is available for use on duty.

Job Start Date: Mid-May (ideally).

Gross pay: £28 – 38K p/annum depending on experience.
