Maternity Practitioner needed in West Sussex in mid January for 3months in Arundel

We are delighted to be working with a wonderful returning family who are looking for an experienced Maternity Practitioner to support them with their fourth baby, due in early January 2027.
The family are looking for a confident, knowledgeable and nurturing practitioner who can provide comprehensive maternity support during the early weeks, particularly while mum recovers following a C-section.
For the first two weeks, the family require full maternity cover of approximately 20 hours per day, providing hands‑on support with the new baby and allowing mum the time and space to rest and recover. Following this initial period, the role will transition to extended nights, approximately 4/5pm until 7/8am, for the remainder of the placement.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and confident Maternity Practitioner with excellent newborn knowledge and be fully up to date with current NHS guidance and safer sleep practices. They will be confident supporting mum with her individual feeding choices, whether breastfeeding, bottle feeding or a combination of both, and happy to gently introduce a suitable routine as the baby settles into family life.
A calm, nurturing and reassuring approach is essential, particularly during the early postnatal period. The candidate must also be comfortable and confident around older children, as the baby’s siblings are very excited to welcome their new brother or sister and will naturally be an important part of family life during the placement.

Location: Arundel, West Sussex
Gross 24 hourly Rate: £350pd/ £23ph (nights)
Hours of work: 24/6 (or 24/1) and then extended nights only
Nights / Days required: 6 nights a week (6x 20hr) or 1 night a week (1x20hrs)
Day off: To be a weekday
Specialist or expert required: Certified Maternity Practitioner
Minimum experience Level for this job: 5yrs experience within the role
Details of any qualifications needed for this job: 12hr First Aid, Enhanced DBS, Maternity Practitioner Certificate (L3 minimum).
Driving required: It would be beneficial, but not essential
