A well-experienced childcarer is needed to care for an 8-month-old baby boy. The position is 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday. Hours: 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm. Fixed-term until August 2027 (family may decide to continue or place child in nursery). First 4 months the role is a nanny-mother’s-help while Mum finishes maternity leave. From September, sole charge of the child.
Responsibilities:
- Nappy care and baby hygiene
- Weaning/food preparation according to Mum’s indications
- Follow nap routines and encourage developmental milestones
- Set up age-appropriate play/activities
- Assist Mum in the initial months
- Babies’ laundry, tidying and cleaning of baby areas, toys and dishes
- Feed and care for three indoor cats
- Other nursery duties as the role becomes sole charge and the child grows
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a childcare setting or as a nanny
- Experience caring for babies in a role
- Ofsted registration highly desirable; Level 3 or above in childcare a bonus
- Paediatric first-aid certificate (12 hour) and up-to-date enhanced DBS
- Driver’s licence; nanny car can be provided if needed
- Professional references: at least 2, including current or last employer, contactable immediately
- Professional insurance (nanny insurance) preferred
