Full time Nanny housekeeper required in Hornton, Banbury, Oxfordshire. This family of four has two boys: a 5‑year‑old attending the local primary school and a 2½‑year‑old who has just started at the same school (pre‑school) two days a week. The father works mainly from home, and the mother is a homemaker who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and will soon start chemotherapy. They need support over the next 12 months as she undergoes chemo, surgery, and recovery.
We are looking for a kind, empathetic, child‑focused caregiver who can look after the children—playing, reading, taking them to school‑related activities, and the like—while also assisting with light household chores such as washing, folding clothes, and tidying their play areas. Some days the mother will still be active; on other days she will require more support.
Responsibilities- Look after two children (ages 5 and 2½), including playing, reading, and transport to school‑related activities.
- Assist with child‑friendly meals and prepare snacks for the children.
- Engage children in outdoor play and tidy their play areas.
- Support baby’s routine and general household chores such as light cleaning, laundry, and folding clothes.
- Work Monday‑Friday, approximately 35 hours per week, with flexibility for additional hours if needed.
- Live‑in arrangements are possible.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children of the same ages.
- Childcare qualifications not mandatory.
- Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
- Permanent position; per‑hour pay £18‑£20 gross.
- Must have an up‑to‑date DBS on the update service and a 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one shortly).
- Minimum of 2 professional references, at least one of which must be the current or last employer and must be immediately contactable.
- Non‑pet household; pets not allowed.
