A lovely, warm, fun and down-to-earth family based in Ifield, Crawley are looking for a wonderful nanny to join their family on a part-time basis, caring for their two children aged 7 and 5. The hours are Monday to Wednesday, 2.30pm–10.00pm, with some flexibility to cover occasional Saturdays when Dad is working.
The role will involve:
- Collecting the children from school
- Helping with any light homework
- Preparing dinner
- Managing the children’s bedtime routine
- Ensuring everything is organised and ready for school the following morning
Both children have SEN needs, so it is essential that you have hands-on experience working with children with additional needs. Ideally, you will have experience with children of a similar age and feel confident adapting your approach to suit their individual needs. The children are really bubbly, engaging and full of personality, so the family would love to find someone who is warm, fun and like-minded, but who can also provide a calm, consistent and reassuring environment.
The family also have a gorgeous little dog who will need to be let out and fed, although no walking is required. Pay: £18+ gross per hour
This is a permanent job. For all roles with children and the vulnerable you must have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the update service, a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate and a minimum of 2 professional referees who are happy for you to share their contact details to our recruiters. One of your references must be your current or last employer and both references must be immediately contactable. We also recommend that you have appropriate professional insurance (nanny insurance).
