A warm and welcoming family based in Wandsworth are seeking a part‑time nanny to care for their son, who will be one year old when the role commences in July. They are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and loving nanny who is truly passionate about childcare and can provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment while the parents are at work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for a one‑year‑old child.
- Plan and engage in age‑appropriate activities, outings and local classes.
- Handle nursery duties: child’s laundry, preparation of healthy, vegetarian meals and batch cooking during nap times.
- Manage the child's health needs, including awareness of allergies to cow’s milk and soy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum two years of nanny experience, with strong experience caring for babies.
- Childcare qualification preferred.
- Valid enhanced paediatric first aid certificate required.
- Up‑to‑date enhanced DBS certificate and a 12‑hour paediatric first aid certificate must be held.
- Ability to provide at least two professional referees, one of whom is a current or former employer.
- Comfortable working around a friendly cocker spaniel (the dog is usually at daycare and does not require care).
Working Hours & Schedule
- Two days per week, any two consecutive days between Monday and Thursday, with Wednesday ideally one of them.
- Hours: 8:00 am to 7:30 pm (with some flexibility).
Location & Compensation
- Wandsworth, London. Salary £22 gross per hour (approximately £26,312 gross per annum).
- This is a permanent, long‑term part‑time position starting mid‑July, with the option of a few afternoon or ad‑hoc hours beforehand.
