Part Time, Live Out, Housekeeper, St Albans, Hertfordshire

St Albans Part-Time On-site
Harmony At Home Limited

A warm and professional family of four in St Albans, Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced and reliable housekeeper to support the smooth day-to-day running of their home. The family has two young boys, aged five and two.

The position is Monday to Friday, four hours per day (20 hours per week). The exact working hours can be agreed mutually to suit both the family and the successful candidate, although a schedule of approximately 08.00-12.00 would be ideal.

The family already has a weekly cleaner, so the housekeeper’s role will be to keep the home tidy, organised, and running smoothly between cleaning visits.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a tidy and well-organised home, including a daily reset of the kitchen, bedrooms, and living spaces
  • Taking care of the family’s laundry, including washing, ironing, and bed linen
  • Changing bed linen regularly
  • Unpacking and putting away grocery deliveries and household shopping
  • Planning, preparing, and cooking healthy, nutritious family meals according to an agreed menu and any dietary requirements
  • Carrying out occasional household errands, such as trips to the post office or dry cleaners

A full driving licence and your own car would be advantageous, as some driving will be required. Mileage incurred while carrying out duties will be reimbursed.

The family is looking for someone who is proactive, trustworthy, kind, and dependable. Ideally, they would love to find a housekeeper who is naturally warm, enjoys being around children, and will become a positive and supportive presence in their home.
