A lovely, down-to-earth family in Greenwich are seeking an experienced and nurturing nanny to care for their 9-month-old little girl. The position is Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm, with an earlier 6pm finish on Fridays. The salary is £23 gross per hour, which equates to approximately £62,000 gross per annum.
The ideal start date is early November, with some flexibility. Mum will be returning to work in January, and as the family will be away for much of the Christmas period, they are keen to find someone who can join them and settle into the role for a few weeks beforehand.
Both parents work outside of the home, and they are looking for someone with excellent baby experience who can provide a warm, happy and stimulating environment for their daughter. The nanny will be responsible for planning and arranging age-appropriate activities, as well as being proactive about taking her to baby classes, groups, outings, playgrounds and other local activities. Fresh air, socialisation and opportunities to learn and thrive are particularly important to the family, and they would love the nanny to build a local network of activities and other families.
The nanny will also be responsible for preparing healthy, nutritious meals from scratch for the little girl, so confidence with cooking is essential. The family are looking for someone warm, organised, nurturing and highly experienced, with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with the parents. There is also the possibility of travel with the family, but only if the nanny so wishes.
The family have no pets and there is no driving required for the role. Babysitting will be required once or twice a month, with a strong preference for one of these occasions to be a few hours during the daytime at the weekend, allowing the parents to go out for lunch or enjoy some time together.
