This family are looking for a Housekeeper to help support the running of their 3 bedroom home; they have two children aged 2 and 7 years; they are home-schooled so will be around during the day. The role is 30 hours per week, with flexibility on when the hours are worked post 9am each day between Monday - Friday. This is a warm, busy family home; the family are seeking a kind, respectful and warm housekeeper who is highly organised, proactive, and detail-orientated to take responsibility for the cleanliness, laundry, and smooth day-to-day running of their home.
Duties to include but not be limited to:
- All usual housekeeping duties
- Laundry/ironing
- Stocking/provisioning for the household
- Changing beds
- Wardrobe organisation
- Some light cooking
- Accepting deliveries
- Arranging tradespeople
- Ad hoc errands if required
- Daily light cleaning/tidying
- Weekly deep cleaning of the home
- Checking the chickens
- Daily walking of the family’s small dog either locally down the lanes or for a longer common walk – depending on home workload
This role is suited to someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and can confidently manage household routines without constant direction. While guidance and communication will always be open, they are looking for someone who can proactively manage (and create) cleaning schedules, laundry cycles, linen changes, and household organisation. They are looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, and discrete who has lots of energy, with a get up and go attitude, and who is happy to work behind the scenes of their daily life to join them long term.
